Discussions on the nuclear power plant are still ongoing. At this point, no final decision has been made regarding the nuclear power plant. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan stated this during a briefing with journalists in parliament, in response to a question about whether Armenia had decided which option it preferred for the construction of a new nuclear power plant.
Asked whether the Armenian side was leaning toward the Russian proposal, Robert Abisoghomonyan said that all proposals were being examined.
“There are numerous proposals on the market, and a final decision must be made based on professional assessments, taking into account price, quality, and suitability.
The assessments are still ongoing at this point,” he said.
