"Happy 2808th birthday, Yerevan!" European Union in Armenia stated on Facebook.
"A city where history and culture come together, while fresh ideas and opportunities open the way to new horizons.
Through the EU–Armenia partnership, we have supported Yerevan in improving its water supply through the Yerevan Water Supply Improvement Project, advancing climate and energy action through the EU Covenant of Mayors, modernising public buildings and improving energy efficiency through the Yerevan Energy Efficiency Project, supporting the improvement and modernisation of the city’s public transport, and, more recently, improving air quality through EU4Clean Air in Armenia, including support for air-quality monitoring stations and policy development.
We continue to work towards a more sustainable Yerevan that keeps developing, creating new opportunities for its people and strengthening its connections with Europe."
