US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation on 5 October, discussing the Armenia–Azerbaijan normalisation process and the US–Azerbaijan strategic partnership.
APA news agency reported this, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
According to the Azerbaijani side, the two officials discussed progress in developing the bilateral strategic partnership following the summit held in Washington on 8 August 2025.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said Bayramov briefed Rubio on Azerbaijan’s steps to advance the peace agenda, build trust and strengthen regional stability. The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
