A new phase of the joint effort to combat forest fires has launched in the border regions of southern Georgia and northern Armenia. This was announced by the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.
On September 30, the first meeting of the joint working group on fire management, climate resilience, and early warning systems took place in Tbilisi. The meeting was organized by the OSCE and the organization Adelphi within the framework of the project "Transboundary Fire Management and Climate Resilience in Southern Georgia and Northern Armenia."
Representatives and experts from state, local, and international bodies of both countries participated in the event.
