Armenia and UNICEF launched new five-year cooperation program

Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan received Ghassan Khalil, UNICEF's new Representative in Armenia, the Ministry of Health of Armenia reports.

During the meeting, the implemented and planned programs in children's health and well-being, their development and protection, as well as in health support for families in Armenia were discussed.

The parties underscored the continued cooperation and coordinated work to translate the priorities set out in the aforesaid programs into practical results and ensure a healthy, safe, and developing environment for every child in Armenia.

Besides, Armenia and UNICEF launched a new five-year cooperation program, within the framework of which four main priorities have been identified: promoting child health and development, ensuring access to quality education, strengthening the child protection system, as well as strengthening the social protection and resilience of children and families in Armenia.
