On the morning of October 3, Russian forces struck Kyiv’s Northern Bridge. The highway and trolleybus lines were damaged.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that traffic on the bridge spanning the Dnipro River had been restricted. There are no reports of casualties yet.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that one of the logistics centers in the Kyiv region and a vessel bound for the port of Odesa were also targeted.
Earlier, Russian forces had struck Kyiv’s Southern Bridge. The Northern and Southern bridges are among the most important and heavily congested highways crossing the Dnipro River.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also carried out strikes on Russian territory. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 218 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed overnight. The targets were located in the Astrakhan, Kaluga, Rostov, Moscow and other regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
