Arman Khachatryan, deputy executive director of the Road Department Fund of Armenia, on Thursday attended, headed by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan, the Armenia-Iran interdepartmental meeting held at the Norduz checkpoint on the Armenia-Iran border, the Road Department Fund reports.
The Iranian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Reza Akbari.
The parties discussed mechanisms for re-equipping Armenia-Iran border infrastructure and increasing cargo transportation.
Deputy ministers Ghalechyan and Akbari reached a practical agreement to resolve existing obstacles in bilateral cargo transportation.
Also, the Armenian delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction project of the Norduz checkpoint of the Armenia-Iran border.
