Babken Sedrakyan, Acting General Director of the Yerevan Metro, received a delegation headed by Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Khalil Shirgholami and Davoud Goudarzi, Deputy Mayor of Tehran.
According to the Metro’s press service, the meeting discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the Yerevan and Tehran metros.
The Iranian side presented the history and technical capabilities of the Tehran Metro, also addressing the projects being implemented in the sector.
The delegation expressed its readiness to contribute its expertise and services, particularly in tunnel construction, railcar manufacturing, and other areas related to metro infrastructure.
Babken Sedrakyan presented the projects being implemented and planned at the Yerevan Metro, the progress of infrastructure modernization, as well as upcoming development projects.
The Metro said the meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere.
