A delegation led by Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan today. The delegation included several members of the Fresno City Council, as well as Honorary Consul of Armenia in Fresno Perch Apkarian.
The guests were welcomed and accompanied during their visit by Hrachya Tashchyan, Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
The U.S. delegation laid flowers at the eternal flame, paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The guests then toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they viewed its permanent and temporary exhibitions.
At the end of the tour, Mayor Dyer made an entry in the Guest Book of Honor.
Thanking the delegation for the visit, Hrachya Tashchyan presented Mayor Dyer with the Armenian Genocide Museum’s photo book.
