On September 29, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, as a result of cooperation between the municipalities of Komotini and Ioannina and the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Komotini’s Peace Square and the building of the Ioannina Municipality were illuminated in the colors of the tricolor flag of the Republic of Armenia. The Embassy reported this.
