High school protests are gaining momentum in France on Tuesda as nearly 80 schools are blocked, notably in Lille, Strasbourg, Nice, Paris, and Saint-Denis.
Clashes broke out with law enforcement, and several dozen people were arrested, while protesters are denouncing, in particular, the lack of resources in schools.
The movement has also taken on a political dimension, pitting the government. The protests are on the other hand supported by La France Insoumise, its MP Representative Louis Boyard was even present at the protest in Montreuil.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Saint-Denis Bally Bagayoko visited the scene and called on members of the government to come and see the situation for themselves.
