Vladimir Putin has signed a decree tightening the rules for taking cash out of Russia to certain CIS countries.
According to the document, individuals are prohibited from taking more than one million rubles in cash to EAEU countries, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. If the ban is violated, the cash will be confiscated.
In addition, for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the ban will apply regardless of the amount of funds.
Exceptions will be made for transporting money through airports designated by the government.
Earlier, in Russia, the limit for individuals was set at the ruble equivalent of 100,000 dollars, while the restrictions did not apply to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
