Iran is not opposed to a peace dialogue with US: Pezeshkian

Iran has never been the instigator of wars and has never refused negotiations for the sake of peace, but in the event of threats it will firmly defend its interests and sovereignty.

This was stated by the president of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Pezeshkian, TASS reports.

"Iran has never been the instigator of a single war and has always demonstrated its commitment to diplomacy and negotiations. At the same time, the resilience of the people in the face of previous aggressions has proved that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not shy away from dialogue for the sake of peace, but is ready to stand to the death to defend the sovereignty and integrity of the country," he said during his address to the UN General Assembly.
