Starting from January 1, 2026, in accordance with Georgia's "Law on Tourism," health and accident insurance will be mandatory for all tourists entering the country, informs the Georgian embassy.
Accordingly, all tourists entering Georgia must submit a physical or online document, in Georgian or English, proving their aforesaid insurance.
The insurance document can be provided by both Georgian and international insurance companies, and the insurance amount must be at least 30,000 Georgian laris (approx. US$11,200).
This insurance coverage must be valid during the entire period of the tourists’ stay in Georgia.
