Members of Turkey’s parliament got into a brawl during a session in which the 2026 state budget of the country was being debated on, Hurriyet daily reports.
Before the respective voting began, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP Mustafa Varank and deputy chairman of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) faction, Murat Emir, got into an argument.
Afterwards, a fight broke out in front of the parliamentary podium, and other lawmakers also joined.
Subsequently, the bill on Turkey’s 2026 state budget was passed, with 320 votes in favor, and 249 against.
