Prime Minister receives George Marcus, President of the Assyrian World Conference

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received George Marcus, President of the Assyrian World Conference.

The Prime Minister welcomed the holding of the Assyrian World Conference in Yerevan and emphasized that the Assyrian community is a very important part of Armenian society, it is fully integrated into various spheres of public life of the country. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian Government keeps the Assyrian community in its focus in order to preserve its identity and fully protect its rights.

George Marcus expressed gratitude for the opportunity to hold the Assyrian World Conference in Yerevan and for the constant attention paid to the Assyrian community. He noted that Assyrians from several dozen countries have arrived in Armenia to participate in the conference.

During the meeting, the issues discussed at the conference were touched upon.
