Aliyev and Xi Jinping sign joint statement on strategic partnership
A ceremony of signing Azerbaijani-Chinese documents was held in Beijing with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, Azerbaijani media reports.
The Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was signed by President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman Xi Jinping.
"Tariff and trade wars harm the legitimate rights and interests of all countries, undermine the multilateral trading system and destabilize the world economic order," Xinhua quoted the Chinese leader as saying.
As Xi Jinping noted, China is ready to jointly defend the world order based on the UN principles and international law with Azerbaijan, as well as defend its legitimate interests and fight for international justice.
