Court rejects Navalny’s appeal for early release

Ahead of the unauthorized demonstration scheduled for August 3 in Moscow, the court of Moscow sentenced opposition leader Alexei Navalny to 30 days in prison. His lawyer has recently appealed for early release on the ground of health issues.
