The perception that the conditions we offer may not be acceptable to Azerbaijan does not correspond to reality. If the same condition is acceptable for passing through the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, why should it not be acceptable for passing through the territory of the Republic of Armenia? Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, repeating the proposal according to which Armenia is ready to provide Azerbaijan with a road under the conditions offered by Iran.
“Within the framework of the Crossroads of Peace project, we have also stated that we are ready for simplification of procedures, while maintaining four basic principles: territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity.
What is reciprocity for, because at this stage we propose to open the railway connection, in particular, on the Horadiz-Yeraskh line, where cargo transportation will be carried out both from Azerbaijan to Azerbaijan through the territory of Armenia and from Armenia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan, and we are ready to start these solutions right now,” he said.
