U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday (April 13) he was told Russia's deadly attack on the northern Ukraine city of Sumy was "a mistake", Reuters reports.
Trump was speaking to reporters on Air Force One, enroute to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and onward to the White House.
When asked to clarify if he meant that the attack was unintended, Trump repeated that it was a "mistake" without specifying who he was briefed by on the matter.
"This is Biden's war, this is not my war", added Trump, who was travelling with his billionaire ally Elon Musk and Musk's son.
Two Russian ballistic missiles slammed into the heart of the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy on Sunday, killing 34 people and wounding 117 in the deadliest strike on Ukraine this year, officials said.
