A peaceful and secure South Caucasus is an important priority for Georgia, Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said, speaking at a panel discussion with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. According to her, the region has great potential, which requires stable and long-term peace to fully realize.
“Both Armenia and Azerbaijan can count on Georgia. We are ready to provide all possible means to promote dialogue and cooperation in the region,” Botchorishvili said.
She highlighted the political will of the parties and their willingness to de-escalate tensions. According to Botchorishvili, Georgia is not just a mediator in regional processes, but a part of them, since peace and stability in the region are of common interest to the three countries.
