Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, being held in Tashkent on April 5-9, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan met with the Head of the Delegation of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Vice President of Inter-Parliamentary Union Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi.
The NA Vice President noted that the UAE is one of the important reliable partners of Armenia.
Hakob Arshakyan highlighted the development of cooperation between the legislative bodies and underscored that the platforms in different parliamentary formats give an opportunity to discuss numerous issues of mutual interest.
Hakob Arshakyan presented to his counterpart the situation in the South Caucasus, highlighting the establishment of peace in the region and reaffirming the commitment of the Republic of Armenia to the peace agenda.
Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi expressed his support to the efforts of Armenia aimed establishing peace in the region and underscored the necessity of the constructive steps in the global instability conditions.
The interlocutors discussed a number of issues regarding the bilateral agenda.
The RA NA Vice President presented to his colleague the Crossroads of Peace project by the RA Government, stressing that the unblocking of the infrastructure will have its impact not only in the region, but also beyond it.
The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Health Care Arsen Torosyan, the NA deputy Hasmik Hakobyan and the NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Davit Arakelyan are in the delegation.
