Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro said during an event in Caracas on Friday (April 4) that his government is prepared to tackle the tariffs imposed by the United States, Reuters reports.
U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday (April 2) unveiled global reciprocal tariffs during an event at the White House and determined that Venezuela will be subject to 15% tariffs, five percentage points more than the rest of Latin American countries.
"We are prepared and we are going to be well, we are going to move forward with popular union, with national union," said the leader during his televised speech.
