The Italian Prime Minister said that EU should not impose retaliatory sanctions against the US.
Giorgia Meloni noted that retaliatory measures could negatively affect the European economy first of all.
"I am not sure that the best choice is to respond to tariffs with other tariffs, because the impact could be greater on our economy itself than outside our borders. And we need to start a frank discussion on this issue with the American side," Meloni said.
