Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received on Friday Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn.
Pashinyan welcomed Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn’s official visit to Armenia and underscored the importance of developing friendly relations with Vietnam, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.
“The Prime Minister said that the high-level mutual visits between the two countries are a testament to mutual interest for further deepening and expanding bilateral relations, which is a positive and commendable process,” the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn thanked for the warm reception and underscored that the visit’s purpose is to further strengthen and deepen the Armenia-Vietnam friendship, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
“During the meeting the parties discussed prospects of developing multi-sectoral bilateral cooperation, highlighting the need for developing concrete actions and steps for intensifying economic relations,” Pashinyan’s office added, noting that they also underscored the importance of the continuity of interparliamentary cooperation in terms of boosting development of bilateral ties.
PM Nikol Pashinyan and Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn also exchanged views around a number of issues of regional significance.
