A 3,1-magnitude earthquake that hit Azerbaijan near the border with Armenia was felt in Kapan, Syunik province, authorities said in a statement.
The quake was detected at 04:19, April 4 in Azerbaijani territory, some 16km north-east of the Armenian town of Kapan. It had a depth of 10km, the seismic protection agency said.
The earthquake was felt in Kapan at an intensity of 2-3 on the MSK scale.
