On April 2, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan me with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cyprus to the Republic of Armenia Michael Mavros.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Sargis Khandanyan highlighted the continuous development of the relations based on friendship with Cyprus. He considered as a great achievement the fact of opening the Embassies in the two countries. The Committee Chair added that high-level relations have been formed not only on bilateral but also multilateral platforms of parliamentary diplomatic cooperation.
Michael Mavros noted that the relations between the two countries are historical and friendly.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of mutual visits, the activation of joint multi-sectoral cooperation.
Reference was made to the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Armenia-Turkey relations and the perspectives of resolving the Cyprus problem.
