"We believe that issues in the region should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, and we oppose any military action to address regional disagreements", Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said during a joint press conference with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.
"The establishment of communication and transit routes in the region is an acceptable matter, but it must be carried out under the sovereignty of the respective countries, with full respect for their territorial integrity and national laws. If the countries of the region wish to utilize these communication and transit routes, Iran fully supports this, but only within the framework of respecting national sovereignty and international borders. Any route that does not meet these criteria is not considered acceptable," stated the Iranian Foreign Minister.
