"I am pleased to note that we are witnessing dynamic progress in trade, economic programs, tourism, and cultural projects", Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during a joint press conference with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
"We have agreed to make the best use of the existing potential in our bilateral relations. Iran and Armenia are ready to create favorable conditions in the transit sector to facilitate Iranian cargo transportation to the Black Sea and the movement of Iranian trucks toward the Persian Gulf, India, and Oman. We also had a productive discussion on constructing a new bridge over the Araks River to ease cargo transportation.
Additionally, we have agreed to continue cooperation and mutual support on international platforms.
We highly value cultural ties and people-to-people connections and are committed to developing these relationships further. We must also explore unused potential in other sectors and put it to use", Araghchi stated.
He emphasized that Iran has expressed its support for the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative proposed by Armenia’s Prime Minister.
"We believe this project will create a significant opportunity for strengthening relations between our two countries. We are at a point where we can confidently say that Armenia and Iran have a diverse range of opportunities for cooperation, and our relations are developing dynamically", Iran’s Foreign Minister noted.
Referring to his authored book, he added: "I would like to thank Mr. Mirzoyan for reading my book, which has been translated and published in Armenian, and for writing the preface. I am convinced that this will be a small but important step toward further developing relations and cooperation between our two countries".
