The Turkish Presidential Administration stated that Azerbaijani media outlets are spreading disinformation regarding the opening of the Margara border crossing on the Armenian-Turkish border.
According to a statement by the Center for Combating Disinformation of the Turkish Presidential Administration, the information spread in Azerbaijani media outlets that Azerbaijan was not officially informed about the shipment of humanitarian cargo to Syria is untrue.
It is noted that Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Rashad Mammadov and Presidential Assistant Hikmet Hajiyev were informed about the shipment of humanitarian aid to Syria by Armenia.
In addition, the statement emphasizes that this border crossing was last used in 2023 to deliver humanitarian aid sent from Armenia to Turkey after the February 6 earthquake.
It is also noted that the border crossing was used for pedestrian crossings by special representatives during the 5th meeting, as well as within the framework of the border commission sessions.
