A relatively stable operational situation remained along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border throughout 2024, said Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.
"In general, the situation remained stable, despite the periodic reports from Azerbaijan about violations of the ceasefire," Papikyan said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on defense and security on Friday.
He also mentioned that in 2024, the Armenian Ministry of Defense continued its efforts to reform the Armed Forces, develop defensive capabilities, enhance military-technical cooperation, align with international integration processes, transition to a professional army, and modernize it.
