The Ministry of Defense does not confirm the disinformation circulating in the press about the accumulations and movements of troops. This was stated by the Head of the Ministry of Defense Suren Papikyan during a briefing, referring to the news about the movement of troops from the Azerbaijani side.
Papikyan added that in order to make such an assessment, intelligence data is needed, and at the moment such a thing is not visible on the ground.
“All dangerous shots, violations that are directed at our positions, at our personnel, have always been reported and explained by the Ministry of Defense,” he said.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has been spreading disinformation about alleged shots by the Republic of Armenia for the 6th day now.
The staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded to this day.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the message of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, in case they are transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
At the moment, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transferred to the Republic of Armenia any factual data or justification of the violation of the ceasefire regime by the units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
