There will be no need for the OSCE Minsk Group’s further activities when the peace treaty with Azerbaijan is signed, Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan has said.Mirzoyan, speaking at a parliamentary committee hearing, responded to statements made by Azerbaijan calling for the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.
“Our stance regarding the OSCE Minsk Group is well known. We believe that after normalizing relations, after the signing of the agreement on peace and establishment of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, we would consider that institutionally the conflict neared its end, and at that moment we would be able to say that there is no need for the Minsk Group activities. Up to this moment, unfortunately we’ve been seeing elements of a certain rhetoric, unconstructive elements which we continuously see from Azerbaijan,” Mirzoyan said.
