"When I have meetings with the leaders of various countries in New York, we post brief updates about them on my Facebook page. On my way back, I notice that my meeting with the President of Turkey receives the most attention," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Turkish journalists.
"We need to maintain a dynamic approach. Our first meeting was not like that—on the contrary, it was mostly accompanied by a negative atmosphere, with questions about why the Prime Minister of Armenia should even have such a meeting. Many complexities have been overcome, which may not be reflected in statistics, but I consider this an achievement. This is also why I tell skeptics that it is too early to declare failure in this direction or policy.
If we proceed calmly, with mutual respect, and take small steps forward, the question will not be whether normalization will happen but rather when it will happen. It will simply be a matter of time, influenced by various circumstances. The process may be delayed, but at this point, I see it as inevitable. We must patiently move forward with time and, above all, be guided by the principle of 'do no harm,'" the Prime Minister said.
