On February 19, the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan being on a working visit in Italy was in the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, meeting with the members of Italy-Armenia Friendship Group.
Highly appreciating the role of the Friendship Groups functioning in the two parliaments in the development of bilateral friendly relations, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that as a result of targeted work, Armenian-Italian relations will reach a new level of development.
The Italian deputies in their turn expressed gratitude to the RA NA President for his efforts made in bringing the work of the two countries’ parliaments and underscored that they will continue to support the process of the democratic reforms underway in Armenia.
The discussions also focused on regional developments, the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war being held in Azerbaijan, and other issues of bilateral interest.
