Some forces want to spoil the warm relations between Baku and Moscow, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the letter that appeared in the press, which was allegedly sent by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the letter fake.
According to Zakharova, such a step is beneficial to those parties that do not want Russia and Azerbaijan to have normal relations.
“I cannot say for sure who exactly ordered it, for this it is necessary to conduct an appropriate investigation,” Zakharova said, adding that the West is behind the attempts to worsen relations between the two countries and, in general, the CIS member states.
