The OSCE Minsk Group ceased its work in February 2022. It ceased its work precisely because of the fault of the French and American co-chairs, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said at a briefing.
“Despite the current mandate, they refused to engage with Russia, canceled all previously planned events and have not voiced the reasons since then. That's all that ended,” Zakharova said.
“The Minsk Group has lost its purpose. It obviously should be abolished, such an overdue measure is designed to contribute to the long-awaited normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I have nothing more to add to this,” the Russian official said.
