"We have discussed the ongoing processes in the region, as well as the importance of peace and stability. Georgia remains sincerely committed to seeing lasting peace in the region and is ready to do everything we can to achieve this goal", Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated.
"We are ready to do our best to ensure that our region is stable, peaceful, and prosperous. Let me repeat this once again: let us hope that the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be concluded with mutually beneficial provisions. Only this can serve as the foundation for the stability of this region and for achieving lasting peace. To fully utilize the potential of our region, we must build upon this foundation. Therefore, we are ready to cooperate with both of our neighbors.
When discussing the challenges to peace and security in this region, we must mention the threats posed by Russia, which has annexed and occupied certain areas of Georgia. We must also highlight the challenges that arise from this situation—whether they are humanitarian, economic, or social hardships—which remain serious issues for Georgia.
Georgia and Armenia firmly support and respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and will continue to do so in the future, whether on bilateral or multilateral platforms", she said.
