"This is an extremely important format. The significance of this commission lies in the fact that the meetings of the intergovernmental commission are led by the two prime ministers. The participation of both governments in this session indicates that the two countries have very strong ties across various sectors", Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, referring to the agenda of the 14th session of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, scheduled to take place later in Yerevan.
"We share common interests and mutual benefits, and both sides seek to further strengthen our relations. This undoubtedly applies to economic cooperation, transportation, partnerships, environmental collaboration, and tourism development. These are key topics that are very important for both countries and can further deepen our relations.
Allow me to emphasize that Georgia genuinely wishes to act as a facilitator in establishing peace and stability in Armenia. Naturally, we will express our readiness to facilitate this peace process as it continues to develop between our neighboring countries", she said.
