"We support the idea of unblocking transport infrastructure. We have developed and proposed quite constructive solutions to Azerbaijan and expect a positive response from them", Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated during a meeting with his Georgian counterpart.
"We are confident that unblocking [the infrastructure] under the conditions and in the manner we envision will bring significant economic and other benefits to the entire region—the South Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, and also Georgia", he said, recalling that Armenia's position is reflected in the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative.
"The 21st century is, in general, an era of simplifications and logistical facilitation, where everyone strives for certain ease of movement and connectivity. Likewise, if and when we unblock connections with Azerbaijan, we foresee certain simplified procedures that can be implemented. Both we and Azerbaijan can benefit from this", Mirzoyan concluded.
