“In 2024, Armenia-Georgia relations saw significant and tangible progress. We signed a strategic partnership document with each other and officially became strategic partners in 2024”, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated during a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili.
"Of course, we must acknowledge that our relations—both between the two countries and between our peoples—have historically had the nature of a strategic partnership. However, this new document and the new quality of our relations open up fresh opportunities for us, both in terms of political dialogue and economic cooperation, as well as in other areas such as humanitarian issues, education, science, and all other fields where we can strengthen our partnership", the minister said.
Mirzoyan also noted that during the meeting, the two sides reviewed their joint achievements, outlined future plans, and recorded that there is a real and constructive dialogue at a high level between Armenia and Georgia, as well as between their foreign ministries.
Foreign Minister of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili is in Armenia on an official visit.
