We are eager to restart relations, and we have expressed our intention to renew our strategic partnership with the United States from a clean slate. Moreover, we want to achieve this with a clear roadmap, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
He added that this roadmap may resemble the one used for the EU-Georgia relations, such as the association agenda.
“It will be roughly the same roadmap as the one developed for EU-Georgia relations, like the association agenda. We are ready to renew our strategic partnership with the United States with a specific roadmap, measurable indicators, and defined goals. We are pleased to see alignment on values with the new presidential administration.
A lot will depend on how successfully President Trump’s administration can tackle the ‘Deep State’ in the United States. We remain generally optimistic and, once again, are fully prepared to restart Georgian-American relations,” Kobakhidze stated.
