Kazakhstan transferred the decrypted data from the black boxes of the Azerbaijani AZAL airline to Russia and Azerbaijan, announced Kanat Bozumbayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and head of the air crash investigation commission.
“They were decrypted in Brazil, returned to Kazakhstan, and are with the investigative group operating under the Prosecutor General’s Office. All experts are working on them. Now both the Azerbaijani and Russian sides have copies of the data from these boxes. We have nothing to hide,” Bozumbayev said.
According to him, the preliminary results of the investigation may be published next week.
According to Bozumbayev, in addition to experts from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia, representatives of the International Civil Aviation Organization have also joined the investigation.
