Reuters. A televised interview with Republican U.S. President Donald Trump was aired on Wednesday night (January 22) just days after he was sworn in for a second non-consecutive mandate.
During the interview with Fox News Trump criticized the federal government's emergency response agency FEMA, saying "all it does is complicate everything."
Trump also addressed the topic of Congress reconciliation, pardons for supporters jailed for the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and TikTok.
Trump has signed a blizzard of executive orders and taken other actions since being sworn in on Monday (January 20) on scores of issues that could have an impact on the lives of millions of Americans and non-citizens.
The orders aim to meet campaign promises on illegal immigration, the size of the federal workforce, energy and the environment, gender and diversity policies, among others.
