We say that we have territories under occupation, more than 200 square kilometers, which we must present during the delimitation process. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, referring to the observation of 'Armenia' ('Hayastan') faction MP Artur Khachatryan that it would be logical for the delimitation to start not from the north, but from the south.
"To start from the north or from the south? You have something drawn in your mind, which is in your mind. If it were up to me, I would start the delimitation of Armenia from the Pacific Ocean, maybe I would end it with the Atlantic Ocean. But besides us, there are 200 other states on the planet.
When we deal with issues that concern not only the Republic of Armenia, but also each of those 200 other countries, then we must understand that we can do anything when there is a bilateral agreement on this.
We are interested in the continuation of the delimitation process. We consider it a very essential, important component, one of the pillars of the peace process. There have been constructive efforts both from our side and from the Azerbaijani side. We have come to some common ground. It was possible to do a little this way, it was possible to do a little that way… A lot could have been done. Now we have a very clear agreement,” said Mirzoyan.
