The Armenia-United States defense cooperation is entirely within the framework of the new strategic partnership document signed between the two countries, Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan has said.
Papikyan commended the Armenia-US cooperation level at a press conference on Wednesday.
“At the same time, the new document essentially doesn’t change the cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the US Defense Department. Our cooperation will continue within the framework of what we already have documented. Our cooperation entirely fits into the framework of the new document. We have advanced in several directions,” he said.
Papikyan reminded that the military exercises in the peacekeeping direction, the cooperation in consulting and the sergeant training, as well as within the framework of the military reforms have been continuing in the past years.
“And we are pleased with that cooperation. I think the current pace is rather good, we have positive dynamics. We hope that the achievements of 2024 will continue and increase in 2025 and our cooperation will become stronger,” Papikyan stated.
