U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a significant milestone in Armenia-U.S. relations during the signing of the Armenia-U.S. Strategic Partnership document.
"In a short period, we have carried out enormous and effective work under excellent partnership relations. As a result, we are marking a significant milestone achievement in Armenia-U.S. relations by establishing a Strategic Partnership Commission," stated the U.S. Secretary of State.
According to Blinken, the commission provides a framework for expanding bilateral cooperation in several key areas, including security and defense, economy, democracy and justice, inclusivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
The Secretary of State emphasized that the document will serve as a bedrock of bilateral relations under shared interests.
Speaking about Armenian-American economic and energy cooperation, Blinken noted, "We are currently conducting negotiations in the field of peaceful nuclear safety and atomic energy cooperation."
