The Kremlin has no concrete preparations for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, despite numerous proposals for possible venues for the talks.
This was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, BBC Russian Service reports.
Peskov noted that many countries, including Serbia and Switzerland, are ready to provide their territories for hypothetical contacts between the leaders.
"Many countries are offering their services as places where contacts can hypothetically be held, but it's too early to talk about this, there is no substantive preparation yet," he said.
Peskov also said that no specific steps have been planned for the meeting between Trump and Putin: "There are still no specifics. We proceed from mutual readiness for a meeting."
As a reminder, Peskov also said that Russia wants security guarantees as part of negotiations on the war in Ukraine.
