Around 2 million 215 thousand tourists visited Armenia in 2024, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said at a press conference on Monday.
“In 2024, we had around 2 million 215 thousand tourists, this is approximately 7% decrease compared to the 2023 figure,” he said.
Papoyan said that the number of tourists coming from Russia has dropped, but the inbound tourism from India, UAE, Georgia, Iran, France, China and South Korea has increased.
The government’s target number for next year is 2,5 million tourists.
