US President-elect Donald Trump was found guilty of falsifying documents in 2016 after allegedly transferring money to lawyer Michael Cohen as payment for legal services.
The prosecution, however, claimed that the transfers were intended for porn actress Stormy Daniels, and it is said that Trump wanted to silence her and cover up his relationship with the actress.
However, according to the court's decision, Trump was released from arrest and fines, considering that US presidents cannot be prosecuted under the constitution. "But this does not reduce the seriousness of the crime," the judge said.
Trump did not accept the verdict, calling it political persecution.
After his inauguration on January 20, Donald Trump will become the first president of the United States to assume the position of the head of the country, having actually been found guilty.
